Unlocking the value of feedback: reflections from Barclays’ AI Exchange at Canary Wharf
In March, we had the opportunity to take part in The AI Exchange, a curated innovation event hosted by Barclays Demo Directory Innovation in partnership with Google Cloud, Wazoku, and Twin Path Ventures at Canary Wharf.
The event brought together over 200 attendees, including corporate leaders, innovators, and AI startups, all exploring a common question. How can organisations move beyond experimenting with AI and start generating real business value from it?
The AI Exchange offered an interactive environment where leaders could experience technologies first-hand, engage directly with founders, and discuss the practical challenges of implementing AI in organisations.
Many of the people attending were decision makers responsible for introducing new technologies into their organisations. This included C-suite executives, innovation leads, product owners, and technology leaders.
The discussions naturally focused on real business challenges such as:
- improving operational efficiency
- understanding customers better
- managing risks earlier
- unlocking new sources of revenue
Demonstrating D.A.V.E.
During the event, we showcased D.A.V.E. (Dynamic Analytics Visualisation Engine), our AI-powered insights platform designed to help organisations unlock more value from feedback and unstructured data.
Many organisations collect large volumes of feedback, from customer surveys and employee engagement studies to operational reports but struggle to convert that information into actionable insights quickly enough to influence decisions.
D.A.V.E. addresses this challenge by combining AI-powered survey analytics and conversational analytics to help organisations:
- rapidly analyse large volumes of feedback
- identify emerging themes and risks
- surface actionable insights for decision-makers
One of the highlights of the event was hearing direct feedback from attendees through a series of engaging conversations throughout the afternoon. It was particularly encouraging to see appreciation for the platform’s intuitive interface and ability to translate complex feedback data into clear insights.

Reflections from Daniel Wagner
The event opened with a candid fireside conversation featuring Daniel Wagner, CEO of Rezolve AI, who shared reflections from decades of entrepreneurship. His discussion covered topics including:
- the realities of making difficult business decisions
- the changing global investment landscape
- why the UK has an opportunity to become a global leader in AI
A key theme throughout the discussion was the scale of transformation AI is expected to bring across industries, and the importance of organisations moving quickly from experimentation to meaningful deployment.
Moving from curiosity to adoption
Events like The AI Exchange are a reminder that the conversation around AI is shifting. The focus is no longer just on what AI can do, but on how organisations can implement it effectively and responsibly.
For many businesses, the biggest challenge is not access to technology, it is turning data into actionable insights and measurable outcomes.
As the ecosystem continues to grow, collaboration between corporates, startups, and investors will be essential in ensuring that AI delivers real value rather than just hype.
A strong and growing AI ecosystem
The event also showcased a diverse range of AI startups working across areas such as:
- customer interaction platforms
- enterprise automation
- ethical AI and governance
- simulation and predictive modelling
- global market expansion tools
Connecting with fellow founders and innovators across the AI ecosystem was another valuable part of the day. Events like this highlight how rapidly the UK AI landscape is evolving, with startups tackling challenges across industries from finance and retail to talent intelligence and cybersecurity.
